A New Chapter in the Story

If you follow this blog, you know that I believe life is about writing our story, and in doing that, we get to choose if we live a good story or a bad one. This year, that is my focus. 2010 will be about writing a new story for my life. Perhaps it’s more like a new chapter, because it doesn’t do away with all of the things of the past.

I do quite a bit on Squidoo, which is a place where you can build lenses (webpages) about things you are interested in. I love the site because it allows me to write and it allows me to put things out there that might be of interest or help someone else. It is a great community created by Seth Godin and what a tribe he has there. I have met some of the most wonderful people.

Last week, there was a call for volunteers to serve as “Squid Angels.” Angels are the people who go around the site (I believe over a million lenses now) and “bless” great lenses. It gives that lens a bit of a boost in rankings, but more importantly, it acknowledges awesome stuff. I have been fortunate that some angels have blessed my lenses in the past, so I thought this would be a great way to give back to that community. This week, I got the email. Yes, I am now a Squid Angel!

I look forward to this year. It will be one of change, and I intend to write a great story! How about you? What stories will you write this year?
