Thanks for stopping by. I am a freelance writer. I have been in the medical transcription industry for over 25 years, working for both large and small medical transcription companies as well as owning her own medical transcription service. I am also a speaker and leadership trainer, having presented at many conferences over the years. Most recently, I have been involved in workforce development in the medical transcription industry. During this time, I have had the pleasure of spending two years living and working in Barbados, where I was responsible for establishing a medical transcription training program as well as managing a production center for medical transcription. As the author of “Stedman’s Guide to the HIPAA Privacy Rule for Medical Transcription,” I found a passion for writing that I am now exploring.

Our journeys in life take us many places. Mine has certainly been no different. Originally from Colorado, I have lived across the country and in another country. That same journey continues to push me to explore where my heart is and how to be sure I am spending the majority of my time with that focus. It leads to writing. I have written several lenses on Squidoo, which you can find featured here. The latest venture involves learning as much as possible about the internet marketing world and how to apply that to some of my vision.

I am working on a couple of ebooks, finding ways to share the things I know that might help someone else, and looking forward to the journey along the way.
