Hello, friends. Boy has the last two years been something, right? It’s been a crazy time and honestly my writing and blogging had moved away from this site. I was blogging for a time on another platform. So enter this year and I’m back! Right here, on my own site and here to bring you value. I hope you’ll follow along, join in conversations, and be a part of things. If you haven’t checked out my about page lately, it’s updated!

How did I get here?

So much has happened in the last two years. Here’s a brief recap.

For our family, we first bought a house. Our first ever that we owned! And while I’d love to tell you it’s been a breeze and all set up like I want it, it just isn’t. Only a few months after we moved. my mother-in-law came to stay with us, on Hospice, so we could take care of her in her last days. It was a busy, emotional, and hard time. She passed away in June of 2021.

A few months after that, we started the process to attempt to adopt a kiddo that I had worked with in my volunteer work with CASA. In the end, that simply didn’t work out and while it was heartbreaking, I now know we simply weren’t the right place for him even though I really wanted to be his forever home. That was so emotional that I have stepped back from my work with CASA for a bit, just to breathe.

In mid 2020, I joined Mary & Martha. It has been such a joy to me. With faith-based products, it’s allowed me to have a sort of ministry business, and I am overjoyed with how the products have touched lives. If you haven’t seen it yet, take a browse! And let’s connect because I’d love to share more!

Just last year, in October, I ended up with some serious health problems. I got to experience what it’s like to be a patient in ICU and also was reminded about how much patients must advocate for themselves in the healthcare system. I’m on the mend, and have another three months or so before I’ll be full blown back to normal according to my doctor.

What’s new for 2023?

Life Verse

I’m excited about the new year. I’m learning to live my life with the mantra of always being curious and wondering what God’s up to next. And you know what? He never fails to show up! Even in the hard times, I find so much comfort and joy in that. Jeremiah 29:11 is my life verse, and I rely on that, reading it daily, to remember that even if I can’t see it, God always, always has a plan, and it’s one to prosper and not harm me, to give me hope and a future!

This year, my Mary & Martha team, Team 2911 (based on Jeremiah 29:11) will grow! This is an amazing group of women, supporting each other in faith and business. I am so blessed to have these folks on the team and be working with them. I look forward to seeing who God will add this year! If you’re looking for a way to make some extra money, let’s chat because there’s an amazing deal this month!

My husband is also starting and growing a business. I can’t wait to see how he’s able to grow so that he can work for himself and not someone else!

In our house, we’re working on our health. It’s often said you don’t realize what you have until you miss it. Boy have we had the scares the last two years and it’s way past time to get busy in this area of our life!

So there you have it! I would love to hear from you about your plans for 2023! Don’t miss anything! Get on my mailing list, where I share encouragement, inspiration and more awesomeness!

Until next time!
