Embracing Your Second Calling

This book was interesting to me because it is written specifically for women. The author, Dale Bourke, wrote this as a “guide” for women who are approaching the second half of their life and wondering what’s next. Bourke calls women to view midlife as a time for not only reflection, but also action. She offers practical ideas for finding new meaning in life.

“Embracing Your Second Calling” invites readers to reflect on what they want what they want the second half of their lives to look like. It provides many opportunities for reflection. It encourages the readers to ask the questions “Who have I been, “Who am I now,” and “Who do I want to become.”

It’s not uncommon for women to reach the “midlife” time in their life and wonder “Is this all there is?” This book will help you explore what life can become and how to recreate the passion you may feel is missing.
