As we follow through with our word of the week from the Focus book, this week’s word to ponder is worship. One word each week, to spend some time focusing on it and see how your life can change!
There are so many ways to worship. Sometimes we do it through song, prayer, even attending church services. Sometimes it’s simply spending time in nature. It’s in time spent reading our Bible. And it’s during those quiet times with God that he directs our lives.
As I was reading the Focus book this week, one thing stood out to me. Suppose you’re given a manual on how to do something. And at the same time, you have access to the author of that manual any time you want it. That’s how it is with God. We have the manual, the Bible, and we also have access to the author. All we have to do is ask.
This last week has been a hard one at our house. And in those times, it’s sometimes hard to think about worship. When you feel like there’s an elephant sitting on your chest, it’s hard to breathe and hard to think about how you should be in a mindset of worship. And yet, I have found that by simply taking out those songs I love, it calms my spirit and lifts my mood a little.
One of my favorite ways to look at worship is through music. And so this week, I leave you with one of my favorite songs to ponder as you go throughout your week. How will you worship this week?
Focus on the word worship this week. I’d love to hear your thoughts on how it goes.
